Black Cat Halloween Leaf Bags

Halloween Leaf Bags are cheap to buy, but I decided I wanted to do something different. The best part about this project is that it uses materials that I already had on-hand: garbage bags, spray paint, duct tape, rubber bands and oodles and oodles of leaves.  The Black Cat Leaf Bag is a fantastic kid project too and will keep them entertained.  Maybe you can convince them to rake the whole yard. Check out the Skull Leaf Bag project HERE.

To start the fun Black Cat Leaf Bag, I put a handful of leaves into the bottom corners of the bag and put a rubber band around it. These are the ears.
Fill the rest of the bag with leaves. Remember to squish them in really good. The less air the better. Tie a knot in the bag and place it with the ears up.
I used duct tape and scissors to make the face and ears. I wish I had reflective tape, that would make it a lot cooler looking. Duct tape comes in every color imaginable now, so the opportunities are endless.
