If you are on Pinterest half as much as me, then I’m sure you have seen the pin about adding the fabric softener pellets to candle wax warmers(aka Scentsy). My mom tried it and it did work great to make the room smell like fresh laundry…but it also ruined the candle wax warmer. She doesn’t use fabric softener so she gave me the rest of her container. I also don’t use fabric softener (for many many reasons), but I do use wool dryer balls. Seriously, you should make the switch too. It is a lot better for your family, the environment and your clothes! Okay, anyway, she gave me this container and I couldn’t just throw it away. In my craft stash I had some small sachet bags and I filled them halfway with the pellets.
I placed one in my sock drawer. The scent lasted about 1 month.
And one in my linen closet. This one lasted about 2 months. This closet isn’t opened as much, so the scent doesn’t escape much.
Overall, it’s a cool idea to use if you have some on hand already or are in a quick pinch to freshen up the smell of a small closet or dresser drawer. It is very overpowering the first week, then the scent fades.
