Fun Wrist Wrap (Bracelet) for Boys or Girls

This project was inspired by a post on I Am Momma-Hear Me Roar.  These wrist wraps aka bracelets aka superhero bling are fun to make, but I had to purchase a specific ribbon (Twill Tape purchased at Hobby Lobby) to create them.  There is 9 feet to the Twill Tape roll, which means over a dozen of these can be made! Materials needed are: Twill Tape, Puffy Paint, Velcro, Ribbon (3/8 or 5/8) of your choice and a hot glue gun.

The wrist size varies, so measure out how big their wrist is then add 1 inch.  For a 3-year-old I made the wrist wrap 5 inches and for a 5-year-old it was 6 inches. The Twill tends to shed and fray. To prevent this, carefully burn the edge with a lighter. If you are having a hard time, put a line of hot glue on the ends.

Cut the Velcro into 1 inch strips. On one end hot glue the hard Velcro piece. Flip the Twill over and hot glue the soft Velcro piece on the opposite end. Test it out, it should make a bracelet.

Decorate the hard Velcro piece side of the Twill. Hot glue your decorative Ribbon to it then Puffy Paint any design. I like to use initials for this project.  Let the paint dry for 48 hours (24 hours is probably plenty of time, but I like to be cautious).

Now your wrist wrap is ready to be shown off.  These make cute gifts for young boys, and the decoration part of it is endless.
