Mini Canvas Magnet

Mini Canvas Magnets can be both a kid craft and an adult craft.  These also make very cute gifts.

The basic materials for this craft are mini canvases (2×2 are shown) and strong magnets. I purchased these materials at Michaels. They are available at any craft store and even online. I use acrylic paints for my craft projects, but any paint (except watercolor) will work. I highly recommend putting a coat or two of clear varnish on after the paint is dry.

I think googly eyes make everything look more awesome.

I regret not using a googly eye for the cardinal. Oh well, I think it is still pretty cool.

After the canvas is painted and/or decorated, you want to use a very strong glue for the magnet. I skipped my usual hot-glue and used E-6000.  That stuff is amazing, but you have to be careful because it is just like superglue. Of course, please make sure there is adult supervision if a child is making the mini canvas magnet and resist all urges to sniff the glue.
