I like to think of this craft as the one that got msjme.com started, and the reason I chose a Peacock feather as an icon for some things. It is fairly simple to do. Materials needed are: lined hair clip, Peacock feather, felt, embellishment(like a button for example), and some other feathers.
To start off, first you glue a small piece of felt to the back of the Peacock feather. I use the same color as the accent feathers that I use. Then you glue the accent feathers, one at a time, onto the felt. After these are dry, attach them to the hair clip in the direction that you want. The final step is to add the embellishment. The hardest part about this craft is finding the materials.
No Peacocks are harmed in the making of this craft. My feathers come from my mom’s “hobby birds” who shed them once a year. I used to sell these hair clips at local vendor/craft shows and on Etsy.
