The Ultimate Velvet Cupcake

Msjme Velvet CupcakesMy rum chata cupcake recipe has been so popular that I felt I needed to come up with a new cupcake for adults only (sorry kids!).  At Christmas I whipped up these and if you are a Whiskey lover, this might be right up your alley.

When you are ready to make the cupcakes (the next day), drain the Black Velvet into a measuring cup and add more liquor to make it 1/2 cup of alcohol liquid total.

PREHEAT OVEN for 350 degrees. Add the alcohol liquid, Vegetable Oil, Eggs, Cake Mix and 3/4 cup of water together and stir well. With a blender for 1 minute or by hand until it is fully blended.
Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 19-20 minutes. Do the toothpick test to make sure they are ready. Let them cool.

If you have another brand of cake mix, this recipe is interchangeable.  Basically, you just need to exchange 1/2 cup of the water in the recipe for the liquor.  They will turn out moist and fluffy.
