I have been collecting pine cones of all shapes and sizes to be used for future projects. Most have been found along the sidewalk during daily dog walks. A few are from my mom’s yard. All of them are pretty sticky so I researched various sites to find out how to make them usable. Overall the main consensus was to bake them for 20-25 minutes at 225 degrees. This is hot enough to remove the sap and kill any bugs or whatever on them. I tried it and it works great. Now I have a huge batch of pine cones waiting to be hot glued to something!
