Sticky Situation with Scissors

Quick! Say the title of this post 5 times.

Sometimes I do silly absent-minded things, like use my best crafting scissors to cut duct tape and sticky velcro.  This of course renders them useless.

The fastest and easiest way I remove the gummy stuff from the blades is wiping Rubbing Alcohol on them.   (Actually the right word to use instead of wiping is rub, but I didn’t want to sound repetitive.)
It takes less than 1 minute to clean the scissors, but about 10 minutes to write a post about the household tip.
Bonus: rubbing alcohol can be used to remove sticky stuff from a lot of surfaces and is a lot cheaper than Goo Gone.  Always test a small area before using it-especially painted surfaces.
